So… Come here often?
Happy and proud to announce that last night was my first little out-of-work outing with the peeps from The Claremont. Admittingly, because I haven’t really mixed with these people on the otherside of the bar, I was kind of nervous. It’s always going to be a bit weird when you enter than new environment where there is no cleaning the bar top or serving a patron to get out of the awkward silences when your trying to make conversation with a fellow staff member. Not to mention im still fairly new compared to how long most other have been there for, so the scary thought of being left out of conversations was lingering my mind a bit.
SO: When Sarah’s feeling nervous and wants to to shake the feeling of apossible bad night ahead, what does sarah do? Sarah drinks.
Safe to say Sarah didn’t stop drinking for quite a while after that ether.
So from what I remember, here are the highlights for those who care -
- Wittnessed the most memorable stack I think I have ever seen. (involved a table, a chair, a gate, the floor.)
- 3 of the guys wearing ridiculous suits and making dismal attempts to all try and pick up the same girl. sad, but hilarious.
- spending $30 all up – pretty much just helped myself to everything behind the bar for free at my own work hahaha
- freezing my tits off outside brad’s house waiting for him to pick up his phone and let me in. Didn’t happen. Althought Caiy did come to my rescue and let me in eventually, thank god.
- eating half a lemon (skin and all) in result of losing dismally in a skulling competition - . Good times.
And the lowlights?
- having the unfortunate attack of the yack.
- work at 9am in Kalamunda on 3 hours sleep. Killer.
Happy to say the highs outweighed the lows, and all in all had a really great night.
Definately hope for more of these once the holidays are here!
Peace out gangstass
